The National Badminton Museum, based in the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes is recruiting. We are looking to add at least two new Trustees to the Board of Trustees and invite applications for these positions. We will consider candidates on the values that can bring to the table as Trustees and in particular how they could participate in the creation of the strategic plan to further develop the status of the museum to become an Accredited Museum.
We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. Ideally, we would want to enhance our trustee board with the addition of digital/technology and museum acquired expertise but recognise that this may not be fully achievable. This is a voluntary role with an initial 3-year term, expenses incurred in trustee activity will be reimbursed.
The Board of Trustees meet 4 times annually, but this can be more when needs determine. We meet at the NBC in Milton Keynes and attendance can be in person or remotely via technology. The Museum is a registered charity and exists to maintain the heritage of the sport and to be the custodians of Badminton related artefacts which are housed in display cases in the Museum in Milton Keynes, providing free public access.
